OnOctober 18, 2025, the Royal Burgers Team won the Pro-AM championship inthe GT Cup Europe. It was a season of highs and lows that culminated in the decisive points scored during the final race atMonza.

The groundwork for the year was laid early. In March, cooperation was confirmed with Hans Weijs Motorsport (HWM), which managed the car operationally. With that, an experienced technical and sporting structure was ready around drivers Laura van den Hengel and Paul Meijer

The season immediately saw a milestone: on April 29, 2025, Van den Hengel won a race and became the first woman torecord a victory in GT Cup Europe. That moment gave the duo and the team momentum for the rest of the championship.

Throughout the year, strong weekends and trickier races alternated - exactly what you saw reflected in the paddock and what the team openly shared on social media: "after a season full of highs and lows." Still, the title remained in the picture thanks to consistent points finishes and error-free execution.

In September, the team showed that speed was right in the run-up to the denouement: during free practice in Barcelona, it led the timesheets among the Pro-AM teams. The line continued into the final weekend.

On October 18, 2025, the decision fell in Monza. Already after Race 1, the team could call itself Pro-AM champion; official confirmation followed through the channels of GT Cup Europe and our own racetrailer team. Race 2 was then mainly about neatly finishing what had been secured in the opening heat.

Thanks to partners and sponsors
A championship is teamwork. Therefore, our explicit thanks go to Hans Weijs Motorsport for the technical operation on the car and guidance on and off the track. In addition, we thank our co-sponsors and partners who made this season possible and helped make a difference in details: from setup support to logistics and hospitality. Their commitment is visible in the final result.

Finally
For everyone who sympathized - colleagues, customers, dealers, partners and fans - thank you for the encouragement along the track and online. It was a season with stories to keep: from the historic victory in April to the all-decisive Saturday in Monza.
